The story of Nanak Foodsbegan in 1997, when Gurpreet Arneja and Vineet Taneja realized the growing need for authentic South Asian dairy products in North America.
As members of the Indian diaspora, they found that while many Indian food items were available in grocery stores, traditional dairy staples like paneer and ghee were difficult to find in the same quality and taste as back home.
Their curiosity turned into passion when they explored the intricate process of making ghee, a kitchen essential in Indian households for centuries.
Determined to bring pure, high-quality ghee to families across North America, they traveled to India to learn the art of ghee-making firsthand. This journey laid the foundation for Nanak Foods, which has since grown into North America’s largest processor of traditional South Asian dairy products.
Headquartered in Surrey, Canada, with an additional facility in Bellingham, USA, Nanak Foods serves customers across Canada, the United States, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mauritius, Hong Kong, Germany, UAE, and Trinidad.
